About my Collection

Translating my Illustrations

Across the collection, I use appliqué to translate my illustrated motifs into textile form, building the designs directly onto the fabric. Leather is introduced alongside a silk base to create contrast in texture and add structure.

Hand embellishment, including beadwork and embroidery, is used to add detail and lift key areas of the surface. These techniques reflect a focus on traditional craft and longevity, turning the designs into more tactile, statement pieces.

My reimagination concept centres on transforming familiar, nostalgic imagery into something more refined and fashion-led. I draw on everyday childhood memories, snacks, routines, and personal references, and reinterpret them through illustration, materials, and embellishment. Rather than directly replicating these images, I abstract and rework them, focusing on shape, movement, and composition to create designs that feel both playful and elevated. This allows me to maintain a strong sense of storytelling and personal connection, while translating these ideas into textiles that sit within a more sophisticated, contemporary context.
