'Scattered Narrative'
This piece brings together imagery from across the collection, combining elements from both the ‘Tony’ and ‘Eagle Rock’ narratives into a single outcome. The motifs are applied more sparsely across the surface, allowing each element to stand individually while still contributing to a cohesive composition, like my sketchbook handwriting.
Hand embroidery and subtle embellishment are used to translate the designs onto a sheer base, creating a lighter and more delicate finish.
This piece is hand embroidered and embellished onto silk Chinese organza. Glass bugle beads, sequins and metallic and embroidery threads are used to build detail, while bullion thread adds more structured line work.
