Bringing the Two Sub - Collections Together
Concept
Bringing the two sub-collections together was about finding a balance between their different moods while keeping a clear, cohesive narrative. Although Tony focuses on playful, chaotic morning moments and Eagle Rock reflects more atmospheric evening memories, both are rooted in personal storytelling and nostalgia. I combined shared motifs, colour references, and consistent techniques such as hand embellishment and illustration to unify them. This allowed the collection to feel connected as a whole, while still maintaining the individuality of each story. By merging these elements, the final outcomes sit within one refined, fashion-led collection that communicates both energy and sentiment.
‘Scattered Narrative'
This piece brings together imagery from across the collection, combining elements from both the ‘Tony’ and ‘Eagle Rock’ narratives into a single outcome. The motifs are applied more sparsely across the surface, allowing each element to stand individually while still contributing to a cohesive composition, like my sketchbook handwriting.
Hand embroidery and subtle embellishment are used to translate the designs onto a sheer base, creating a lighter and more delicate finish.
This piece is hand embroidered and embellished onto silk Chinese organza. Glass bugle beads, sequins and metallic and embroidery threads are used to build detail, while bullion thread adds more structured line work.
‘Between Two Worlds’
I first painted the motifs in a loose composition, then digitally edited them to create movement across the design. This scarf combines elements from both the ‘Tony’ and ‘Eagle Rock’ collections, with hand-beaded detailing and an astronaut appliqué linking back to the starting imagery of space and my father.
Glass beads hand-embellished directly onto the scarf, and a hand-beaded appliqué astronaut.
Digitally printed onto silk de chine.

Digital Prints
These digital prints are developed from hand-painted motifs using gouache, which are then digitally composed into repeat patterns. This process allows me to accurately translate my illustrative style, maintaining the fluidity and character of the original paintings.
In contrast to techniques such as beading and embroidery, digital print enables a more direct and consistent representation of the imagery. These prints act as a link between the silk scarves and the embellished pieces, connecting the collection through both surface and motif.
The designs are digitally printed onto 70cm x 70cm butterfly smooth crepe.
Subtle hand embellishment are then added using glass beads, introducing texture while maintaining the clarity of the print. This approach creates a balance between digital precision and hand crafted detail.
